I know this is a 10 year old video. Imagine taking an hour and 3d printing a velocity stack where that interal intake tube went, and fitting the filter housing cover with some screen mesh and have a more forced ram air effect.

I think you will find when the throttle Is opened there is a reduction in pressure in the inlet manifold and there is a connecting pipe to the area above the diaphragm. This reduction in pressure sucks the diaphragm rubber and throttle slide up it I’d not ‘pushed up like a balloon’ as you suggest. The result is the same. Just wanted to clear this point up. There’s actually 6 screws on the left hand side and not 5. I now have 5 and 1 broken one🤬

My drz accelerate only 3000-4000 rpm and Max speed 80-90 klm/ h .and the half throttle to the top is dead, why?

I put an intake and exhaust on my grom and it feels like 4th gear is stupid now. It hardly has any power on 4th now. It has the room for the speed, just lack of power.

Just a quick tip. Cover the exhuast in a aluminium foil before draining oil so nothing gets onto pipe that will burn later.

Hello i got the jt249.14 and it does not slide all the way back compared to the stock sprocket. Any one else have this issue? I ordered the 252 instead

Do not follow these instructions Just remove the plug from the harnes under the seat Remove the 4 12 mm bolts under the seat The whole thing comes s out in one piece Takes 2 minutes Then on your work area you can take it apart if you wish

This video is 8 years old so I don't figure Ill get a response but Ill try anyway. My bike is doing a weird thing when it idles. When the engine is still kinda cool it idles and revs normally but when its a bit warmer when i rev it it'll idle higher than normal. I can "nudge" the clutch to put a bit of friction on the engine and then release it again and it'll idle low again but once I rev it its back up to a high idle. It wasn't doing this before i cleaned the carb. Its a 2011 DRZ400s fully stock. And i did set the fuel mixture screw back to how Suzuki set it after I cleaned the carb.

I had the same drz400 and carb everything runs great except I have alot of backfiring when I'm decelerating does it more at low rpm then high u seem to be a carb genius any help much be great?

Just purchased a 2016 Grom with 850 miles on it for $800. Here in SEA it's called the MSX and they are much cheaper. I like this mod as compared to installing those stand alone air intakes. I can buy pre-programmed ECU's here for about 20 bucks that add fuel and increase the RPM limit. I suspect that the ECU replacement will more than compensate for this mod and probably a performance exhaust later. Also, just today, I installed a NGK Iridium spark plug. If I burn the top end, I can replace it for about $75 here, including labor...so no big deal. BTW, this video was well done!

You can just replace the stock filter with a K&N filter.

If you do this dont be surprised if your bike burns a hole in the piston, It makes me laugh Honda spend millions developing there engines to run perfectly, And then some wollie on RUclips thinks he knows better .

Tq for open up cowling and etc, i knowing better my parts, just to throw out the plate at the back of air filter, i think it would damage the air filter it self. I think the plate function was to help air filter & withstand strong air coming in. There's must be a reason honda build that. Tq

do you need the turn signals or can you use your hand to signal?

Was your snorkel connected to the carb? Or is your grom fuel injected?

Could of started it up all that work and no-one knows wat it sounds like!!!!
